From a bus stop, to a park, to a home—Laura is passionate about the opportunities that good design has to make all lives better, no matter what scale.
Laura received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arkansas where she won several awards including the 1st place award for the Hnedak Bobo Group International Design Competition. Before joining WKA in July 2019, she worked for Snow Kreilich Architects in Minneapolis where she was on the project team for several institutional and commercial projects including the Lake Country Montessori School Masterplan, and a mixed-use development located within the Minneapolis Warehouse Historic District and the St. Anthony Falls Historic District in Minneapolis, MN.
With WKA, Laura has worked on a variety of institutional and single-family residential projects including Two Gables Residence, Intrinsic School’s Downtown Campus, and the Art in Motion Charter School, a creative-arts high school in Chicago.
In her free time Laura enjoys watercoloring and exploring the city. She resides in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
