Chelsia is passionate about crafting spaces that positively impact behavior, emotions, and promote well-being. She believes that every element, from the smallest detail to the larger concept, plays a crucial role in creating harmonious environments that inspire and uplift those who inhabit them.
Originally from Kansas City, MO, Chelsia joined Wheeler Kearns Architects (WKA) in 2024. She is a first-generation college student, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arkansas, where she spent a semester abroad in Rome, Italy.
Prior to joining WKA, Chelsia worked at Eastlake Studio in Chicago, IL, where she lead and assisted corporate interiors projects from schematics through construction, developing a comprehensive set of skills managing creative, interiors, and architectural aspects of projects. Prior to that, Chelsia worked at Thomas Shafer Architects in Evanston, IL, where she honed her technical background working on high-end residential projects across the region.
Outside the office, Chelsia enjoys a good book, live music, and practicing yoga. She loves discovering new restaurants and connecting with friends over a martini or at the farmer’s market. At home, she snuggles up with her chunky cat Arby to watch Harry Potter on repeat.
