Located in Glencoe, this 14 year-old suburban home was remodeled to bring the focus back to the house and away from the three car garage. The detailing of the new zinc-coated copper panel garage doors and wall panels seamlessly hides the garage doors. The entrance was transformed by the addition of a large trellis that continues into the house in the form of a wood lined ceiling.
The entrance leads into the gallery, whose original high vaulted ceilings were lowered to meet the height of the entry and replaced with a wood ceiling similar to that of the entrance lining to provide a more intimate experience leading into the larger scaled and open living and dining area.
