We are thrilled to announce that Joy Meek, Principal at Wheeler Kearns Architects, has been named the recipient of the 2024 AIA Illinois Alan Madison Award for Diversity Work!

Since joining the firm in 2006, Joy has led with integrity, guiding WKA’s inclusive hiring practices to build a diverse team, while diligently protecting the firm’s culture, values, and best practices. Her leadership extends beyond the office through mentorship, public speaking, and teaching, all while championing diversity and equity in architecture.

We are proud to celebrate her valuable contributions to the profession on Thursday, Oct. 24th, at the 2024 AIA Illinois Conference in Elgin, IL.
