The AIA Chicago Foundation recognizes Emily for her outstanding contributions to the field of architecture and her commitment to making a positive impact on the community. ⁠

With WKA, Emily has led numerous award-winning projects that uplift and serve the community, including the Broadway Youth Center, Great Lakes Academy Expansion, and the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School Expansion.⁠

Devoted to promoting diverse perspectives and inclusivity in all aspects of architecture and design, her influence extends beyond the projects she undertakes. Notably, Emily is a founding leader and member of the AIA Chicago LGBTQIA+ Alliance. She is also a mentor in the ACE Mentor program and played a crucial role in establishing “WKALIFT,” an in-house initiative by WKA that builds on the ACE Mentor program, offering high school students a comprehensive 2-week summer workshop and year-round mentoring.⁠
