Gold, silver and bronze winners for WAN Awards 2021 have been announced at a virtual ceremony which took place on 17 November 2021
The WAN Awards, which are now in their 13th year, focused on a broad range of categories which enabled individuals and companies of all sizes to showcase projects, talent and expertise to a global audience. The judging was completed by top international experts to reinforce the awards’ truly worldwide outlook.
And this year, several new categories were introduced to highlight the extraordinary projects that put the needs of the planet first. These can be seen in the Use of Sustainable and Environmentally-friendly Building Materials, Sustainable Design and Land Use, and Best Overall Sustainable Architecture Project. A Pro-bono Architecture category focusing on projects with a humanitarian focus at the core was also popular.
“All architecture has a vital impact on our lives. Despite the current challenges as the world grapples to manage the pandemic, the WAN Awards shine a light forward and promote the visions of the creative and outstanding work of innovative and imaginative architects worldwide.”- Alison Carter, Editor, World Architecture News
