Erica received an undergraduate degree in Construction Engineering Technology from the University of Toledo, and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan, where she was involved as a research and design assistant and graduate student instructor. Upon completion of her Master’s program Erica worked in the University’s Architecture, Engineering & Construction Office, assisting with the design and documentation of small-scale university construction and renovation projects.
Since moving to Chicago in 2013, Erica has worked on a mix of project types, from single to multi-family residential, commercial, retail, and historic renovations. As an Associate Architect with Booth Hansen, she worked on the project team for 61 East Banks, an eight-story luxury multi-family development in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. The building will be on the last undeveloped lot on Lake Shore Drive in the Gold Coast and is set to break ground in late 2017.
Current projects include a private residence along Lake Michigan in Highland Park, and a townhome development in the Wicker Park neighborhood that maximizes outdoor space by covering the parking and drive aisle with garden terraces.
Erica enjoys serving the local community, and she has led as co-director of outreach & a project leader at Open Architecture Collaborative Chicago (formerly Architecture for Humanity Chicago) for over four years. She is a licensed architect in Illinois and lives in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.
