Janette graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelors of Architectural Science in 2005, and a Bachelors of Architecture with honors in 2008. While at UCD, she was Secretary of the Architecture Society for the 04/05 academic year, and acted as Class Representative for UCD Architecture Staff Student Committee for the 06/07 academic year.
Her Thesis Project addressed the lack of public spaces, interior and exterior, in Dublin, and how design could relieve the congestion in an organically grown city.
Prior to joining Wheeler Kearns architects in 2008, Janette worked with Lawrence and Long Architects, Dublin on a number of single family residences, and Scott Tallon Walker Architects in Dublin, on a new commercial highrise for the city.
While at Wheeler Kearns Architects, Janette has assisted on multiple projects, including the adaptive reuse of a vacant manufacturing building to house Inspiration Corporation's newest facility, Inspiration Kitchens in East Garfield Park, and a new dwelling in Montana. Janette is currently working on interior alterations to various campuses of the Noble Network of Charter Schools, which continues to expand to serve Chicago's students. She is also currently Project Architect for Congregation Sukkat Shalom, the conversion of a 1955 church into a synagogue.
Janette maintains close ties with the architecture community in Dublin and is in the process of becoming a registered Architect in Ireland.
